BioImages 2015 Award Winners
BioImages is the annual visual media
competition of the BioCommunications Association. This extraordinary exhibition showcases the finest medical media in the fields of life science, research, and
medicine. Included in the exhibition are still images, graphics, and motion media entries that showcase the finest still, graphics and motion media work in
the life sciences and medicine.
Member entries are evaluated by a distinguished panel of judges based on overall impact,
clarity, scientific content, technique, image quality, presentation, creativity, originality, and effective
use of the medium. The 2015 BCA BioImages awards included a Best of Show, Award of Excellence, Citation of Merit Awards, and five sponsored Merit Awards. Awards were given in three visual media divisions: Still, Graphics, and
Motion.
Winners were announced at the annual meeting’s Opening Reception and Awards Presentation.
We are pleased to feature these award winning images in our first open access JBC Gallery.
